Daily tile care & maintenance
While tile is extremely durable, it's not impervious. Proper care and maintenance are still needed to prolong the life of your flooring. Establish a routine that includes sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming. You'll also want to wet mop and address spills properly. You may consider investing in doormats to keep dirt off your flooring, and you could use area rugs to protect your flooring further.
Dealing with spills
For common liquid spills like milk, wine, and pet accidents, immediately wipe away or mop clean. Tile can get very slippery when wet, so it’s important to address the spill before your flooring becomes a hazard!
Use only manufacturer-approved cleaning products on your tile! These should be free of acids, vinegars, chlorine, and ammonia. Certain chemicals can actually damage or discolor your tile's grout or its actual surface, so it's important to consult your manufacturer's cleaning guidelines.
